5. The Installation of SPIN

Step 1:
To unpack the ZIP-file, type on the dos-prompt: PKUNZIP -D SPIN.ZIP
In this way a directory is created with the name SPIN in which the files of SPIN are unpacked.

Step 2:
Change the directory in SPIN by typing on the dos-prompt: CD SPIN

Step 3:
Now start the installation program by typing on the dos-prompt: INSTALL
When you don't use a modem, or use KLOS PPP, you can press [ESC(ape)] during the testing of the COM-ports to skip this part.

The installation program makes several files among others the file MODEM.CFG. The following is an example of this file.

ComPort=2 / The gate your modem is connected to /
Baud=57600 / The highest speed of your modem /

/ When the returned values are 0 here, it means the installation of your modem has failed, you can change/adjust this file yourself with the help of an editor. To do that type the following on the dos-prompt:
EDIT MODEM.CFG /
